Shavkat Mirziyoyev wins presidential elections in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, December 5 / Kabar /. According to preliminary data of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, won the presidential elections, which took place on December 4, 2016, correspiondent of Kabar reports citing to chairman of the Central Election Commission Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev received more than 88.61% of the votes, or 15.96 million votes.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev is a candidate from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP).

17,951,000 people took part in casting the vote, that makes 87.73 percent of the total number of voters included in the lists.

There were three other candidates on the ballot: Khatamjon Ketmanov of the People’s Democratic Party, Sarvar Otamuratov of the Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) Democratic Party, and Nariman Umarov of the Adolat (Justice) Social Democratic Party.
