No Kyrgyz citizens reported among victims of shootout in Florida, US

Bishkek, Jan. 9 / Kabar /. According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, there are no Kyrgyz citizens among the victims of the shooting in Florida (USA), the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

On January 7 at the airport in Florida (USA), a man opened fire killing 5, injuring 37 people.

The shooter opened a fire in the terminal number 2 in the baggage claim area at Fort Lauderdale international airport. He arrived from Alaska. The gun was kept in his luggage, it was declared.

According to NBC, the suspect is - Esteban Santiago. His brother said that he served in the National Guard in Iraq and then in Alaska. But in 2016 he was dismissed because of misconduct. He was diagnosed with "post-traumatic stress disorder", also known as the Iraq syndrome.
