More than 11 thousand foreign students study in Kyrgyzstan

 Bishkek, December 16 / Kabar /. More than 11 thousand foreign students study in Kyrgyzstan, this was stated at a meeting of the Social Democratic Party (SDPK) faction.

The press service of the Parliament reports that, at the meeting of the SDPK faction its members considered the situation in the Kyrgyz Republic in the education system. The meeting also involves representatives of state bodies and agencies led by Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Cholpon Sultanbekova.

The faction members and participants of the meeting discuss such issues as: the results of Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Bologna Process; the level and quality of education in universities and vocational schools; educational services to foreign citizens (education export); accreditation of educational institutions; the fight against corruption in the universities and other important topics.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nurmamat Esengulov said that foreign students come to Kyrgyzstan to get education for two reasons. Firstly, it is the low cost of education, and secondly, its created favorable conditions for their stay in our country. Currently, more than 11 thousand foreign students are studying in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, Esengulov added that Kyrgyz young people have every opportunity to study in international universities.
