Kyrgyzstan opens information and consultation centre on religious affairs

Bishkek, December 15 / Kabar /. Since December 13, 2016 the first of its kind of information and advisory center for religious affairs opened in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The centre was opened in Bishkek with the technical support of non-governmental organizations.

The purpose of the Center is to provide information and advice to citizens on religious issues.

The center employs highly qualified specialists in the field of law, theology and psychology, who will provide competent advice and psychological assistance for citizens.

Today, in Kyrgyzstan there are about three thousand religious organizations, among which are about two and a half thousand Muslim and 380 Christian, and 12 Baha'i communities, 1 Judaic and 1 Buddhist community.
