International Day of Arabic language to be celebrated in Bishkek Humanities University

 Bishkek, December 13 / Kabar /. A solemn event devoted to the International Day of the Arabic language will be held on December 14 at Bishkek Humanities University, the press service of the university reports.

The event will be held with the participation of president of Bishkek Humanities University Pr. Abdylda Musayev, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kyrgyzstan Abdurrahman bin Said al-Juma, president of the public organization "World Assembly of Youth" Said Bayoumi, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Qatar and other officials.

In 1973, the General Assembly of the United Nations included Arabic language in the number of official and working languages of the UN.

Currently, the number of people speaking the Arabic language and its variants is about 300 million people in the world. For more than 240 million of them are native Arabic, and about 50 million people use it as a second language.

On the occasion of this celebration, the students of the Arab department of Bishkek Humanities University in the framework of the event will present the play, read the verses of famous Arab poets, show samples of culture and customs of the Arabic-speaking peoples.
