International observers praise Kyrgyzstan’s preparedness for a referendum

Bishkek, December 11 / Kabar /. International observers highly appreacited preparedness of Kyrgyzstan for a referendum on changing the Constitution, head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendum Nurjan Shaildabekova said today at a press conference answering journalists' questions.

She said that the elections taking place in Kyrgyzstan is very interesting to international observers.

"Yesterday we made a presentation of our achievements in the electoral system to observers, and they highly appreciated them. The elections are monitored by more than 200 observers from 25 countries. Unfortunately, observers from the OSCE were not able to come. They explained this by the fact that today elections are held in several countries, in connection with the shortage of staff and limited financial resources, they said that they could not participate in our elections," Shaildabekova said.
