International observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will carry out a short-term monitoring of the referendum in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, December 9 / Kabar /. In accordance with the invitation of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic a group of international observers is formed from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to carry out long-term and short-term monitoring of the preparation and conducting the referendum on changing the Constitution, the press service of the CIS IPA reported.

Coordinator of the group of observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly is Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov.
The group consists of 24 observers from among the parliamentarians and representatives of the higher legislative bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan, as well as staff of the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the expert of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy, Parliamentarism and Suffrage Protection citizens of states - participants of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

On the election day, international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will monitor the referendum in polling stations in Bishkek and Chui oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in overseas polling stations in Baku, Minsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
