Kyrgyzstan to develop state program for fighting against terrorism and religious extremism

Bishkek, December 8 / Kabar /. Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenish Razakov held on December 7 a workshop on the development of the state program to counter-terrorism and religious extremism in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the government reported.

Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov emphasized the importance of this program, given that the threat of religious extremism and terrorism has become global.

During the meeting it was noted that special attention should be paid to strengthening the prevention of religious extremism in society, especially among young people who are most affected by destructive forces.

One of the main objectives of the program should be to ensure the security of society and the state by preventing manifestations of religious extremism and prevent the threat of terrorism.

Following the meeting, Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov instructed to create an interagency working group that will develop this state program on the fight against terrorism and religious extremism.
