Bishkek, March 18 / Kabar /. The situation on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border is calm. The State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The reasons why Uzbekistan deploy armored personnel carriers and military in the disputed area of Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, are still unknown.

"At the moment, the border service leaders are negotiating with the Uzbek side. In general, the situation is calm," the press service of the order service reports.

Recall, on 18 March at 07:40 in the area Mogul of Ala-Buka region of Jalal-Abad oblast on the disputed area of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border troops of Uzbekistan deployed 2 units of BTR and 2 "KamAZ" truck. In addition, in this area there are about 35-40 Uzbek troops.

Also at 08:00 Uzbek side unilaterally fully closed "Madaniat-road" checkpoint.

In turn, the Kyrgyz side has stopped passage of persons and vehicles of citizens of Uzbekistan at checkpoints "Baymak-road", "Ken-Say- road "and" Kadamjai-road".
