National Library is named after the national poet of Kyrgyzstan Alykul Osmonov

 Bishkek, December 16 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz Government’s commission to perpetuate the memory of prominent figures of Kyrgyzstan took a decision to name the National Library of the republic after national poet Alykul Osmonov. The press service of the library reports.

Alykul Osmonov is an outstanding poet of the Kyrgyz people. His works are included in the golden fund of literature in Kyrgyzstan. Monument to Alykul Osmonov is installed in front of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, where the library staff and the many readers mark anniversaries of the writer.

In many countries, national libraries are named after famous poets and writers of their country. For example, National Library of Azerbaijan is named after M. F. Akhundov, National Library of Tajikistan is named after Abulkasim Ferdousi, the National Library of Uzbekistan is named after Alisher Navoi, National Library of Georgia is named after I. Chavchavadze and many others.
