 Speaker Tursunbekov: "The forthcoming referendum will open a new path of development of parliamentary democracy"

Bishkek, December 6 / Kabar /. A group of deputies headed by Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybay Turcunbekov met with activists and residents of Talas oblast, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reports.

A number of social issues, such as drinking water, the problem of kindergartens, secondary schools, roads, hospitals and ambulances were voiced at the meeting. In turn the Speaker gave instructions to local authorities to solve the problems.

Also, residents asked questions relating to changes to the Constitution and the forthcoming referendum, scheduled for December 11 this year. Chynybay Tursunbekov said that the purpose of the changes to the Basic Law of the country is the preservation of stability and the development of parliamentary democracy.

Several deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh headed by Speaker Chynybay Tursunbekov visiting Talas oblast. They are accompanied by representatives of ministries, departments and local authorities.
