Members of Executive Boards tasted Naryn organic food

 4 May 2016, the members and leaders of Executive Boards of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS, UNICEF and UN Women arrived in Naryn oblast.

The meeting was attended by the Government Representative in Naryn oblast Amanbay Kaiypov.

The first object of the visit of the delegation was the veterinary facility in the village of Ak-Muz in At-Bashy rayon. This facility has recently been opened with the support of the program “Integrated development of Naryn oblast”, where almost all kinds of services needed for livestock are being delivered.

On the premises there are situated veterinary service and pharmacy, shearing point, bath facility and biothermic pit. Guests were able to get personally acquainted with the work of the facility and have a talk with the citizens.

“With the increase of the number of livestock, is noted the increase of the number of various diseases among livestock. For their prevention and treatment, in our facility, we organized vaccination services and sale of basic products. Besides bath and shearing sheep services are organized in the newly constructed bath facility. In addition, recently launched biothermic hole service helps in the improvement of the epizootic situation in the village,” - said Azat Kapatov, Head of Ak-Muz Ayil Okmot.

The Government Representative in Naryn oblast Amanbay Kaiypov noted the key achievements of the UNDP program: “Today, in the framework of the Programme in Naryn oblast 84 business enterprises have been established, 375 jobs have been created. Also, 25 thousand rural people gained access to clean drinking water. In addition, 28 transformers were established and 12 greenhouses were constructed - the results of grant projects have made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.”


For the members of the delegation there has been held an exhibition of local products – “Organic products of Naryn”: honey, buckwheat, kurut, canned meat and cheese products produced within the framework of the UNDP projects under a single brand.
