Museum of Kyrgyz shepherd to be open in Issyk-Kul

 Bishkek, April 22 / Kabar /. A museum devoted to the life of the Kyrgyz shepherd and sheep-breeding is planned to be open in Issyk-Kul as part of the Year of history and culture of Kyrgyzstan. The State Directorate for preparation and holding of the Year of Culture and History reports.

The museum will be open in "Kyzyl Tash" sheepyard in the village Zharkynbayev, built in the 1960s. Authors of the idea mentioned that this sheepyard itself is an independent historical landmark. The total area will be 220 square meters. The necessary artifacts needed to open the museum are collected due to efforts of local activists. Visitors of the museum will be able to not only learn the history of the area, as well as get information about Kyrgyz traditional farming, lifestyle shepherd, unique breeds of sheep and others.

According to the authors, in a short time the museum can become one of the cultural sights of Issyk-Kul oblast.
