Cycle race under the motto against extremism and terrorism

Bishkek, May 25 / Kabar /. A cycle race under the motto "Youth against extremism and terrorism" is held in the town of Karakol, Issyk-Kul at the initiative of the Issyk-Kul Department of Internal Affairs, spokesperson of the Issyk-Kul Department of Internal Affairs of Stalbek Usubakunov told.

This event was attended by about 120 university students and high school students of the town.

Addressing the participants of the cycle race, head of the Internal Affairs Department E. Saliev and his deputy M. Abdrahmanov noted that the aim of this action is to prevent religious extremism and terrorism among the youth in the region, as recent events in the Middle East, show the extent of how dangerous is the religious extremism.

Other participants of the action Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul oblast A. Zhanybekov, Deputy Mayor of Karakol K. Karasartov also noted the problem of religious extremism and terrorism among the youth and promised to assist in carrying out such actions.

Employees of the Issyk-Kul Internal Affairs Department plan to hold such events and sports games to promote healthy lifestyles among young people throughout the oblast.
