KICB supported the 6th scientific fair in Osh city

Bishkek, May 21 / Kabar /. On May 18, 2015 in Aga Khan school in Osh, the VI Scientific Fair was held for students of grades 6-10. The works of 47 students were exhibited at the fair. For 5 months, the students developed their scientific projects, as a result presenting 24 experimental projects in the area of physics, chemistry, ecology, geography (regional ethnography) and housekeeping. The students in their works dealt with such topics as alternative types of energy, secrets of Ak-Buura River, virology and many others. It is not a secret that in Aga Khan school in Osh, talented and assiduous students are supported with stipends, incentives and prizes. The students studying up to 5 foreign languages in this school with a special attention study the Kyrgyz language, history and culture of a native country.  

Ms. Elvira Sarieva, the minister of education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, Diplomatic Representative, Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in the Kyrgyz Republic who is also the Executive Chairman of the Executive Committee of University of Central Asia, and Mr Toktonazar Aytiev, Head of Social Development, Office of the Mayor of Osh city attended the scientific fair.

KICB annually takes part in this activity in order to contribute into development of educational institutions and to raise the level of literacy of the population in Kyrgyzstan as the main instrument of social and economic development of the country. It is necessary to cultivate love for scientific disciplines in our coming generation and to teach them to use received knowledge in practice.
