One more Kyrgyz citizen killed by Uzbek border guards

 Bishkek, November 13 / Kabar /. One more Kyrgyz citizen died in hospital on the territory of Uzbekistan from injures received as a result of fire opened by Uzbek border guards.

According to data of the Kyrgyz border guards, the incident occurred on November 13 on disputed area of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border in Ala-Buka region, Jalal-Abad oblast.

According to preliminary data, the incident is linked to smuggling activities of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, who allegedly tried to smuggle contraband goods from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

In order to clarify the circumstances of the incident border representatives of the two countries are negotiating at this time on the site.

In 2013, the Uzbek border guards killed two citizens of Kyrgyzstan. In the first case, the murder occurred on January 4. Uzbek border guards said that Kyrgyzstani allegedly illegally crossed the border into Uzbekistan. The second murder occurred on June 20 in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Also on 23 July last year several border guards wounded and died as a result of skirmish between border guards.

On 10 November Uzbek border opened fire on Kyrgyz citizens, who tried to smuggle contraband cargo (food - chicken and duck legs) from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.
