Beijing, August 22 / Kabar /. Afghanistan will be a "swamp" after the withdrawal of NATO coalition troops from the country in 2014, said Zhang Hanhuey, director of the Department for European and Central Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China at a meeting in Beijing with journalists from Central Asia.

According to his words, after 2014 to maintain a stable situation in Afghanistan, the SCO will take the necessary measures.

To the question whether the SCO has plans to take Afghanistan as a full member of the Organization, the diplomat said that "he has no right to speak for the other countries."

"Afghanistan is eligible to apply for entry into the SCO. Afghanistan is now the supervisor of the Organization. However, the decision will be made by all members of the SCO, " he said.

Commenting on the question is there will be information vacuum in Afghanistan after 2014, Zhang Hanhuey said: "there will be no vacuum – there will be a swamp. If someone shove his foot there, it will be difficult to pull it out. "
