Osh and Yozgat city of Turkey became twin cities

Bishkek, November 5 / Kabar /. Osh city (Kyrgyzstan) and Yozgat (Turkey) became twin cities. The ceremony of signing of the Protocol on establishment of friendly relations between the cities is held on November 2, 2012 in Yozgat.

According to the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey, from the Turkish side the document was signed by Yozgat Mayor Yusuf Basher and from the Kyrgyz side - the first Vice Mayor of Osh Alimzhan Baigazakov. The event was part of the first international meeting of the fraternal peoples, held from 1 to 3 November in Yozgat.

During his speech at the ceremony, chairman of the Supreme National Assembly Cemil Cicek and Vice Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag noted that Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are united by a common history, culture, language and religion. Turkey will continue to take steps to strengthen unity among all Turkic-speaking peoples.

The Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkey Ermek Ibraimov expressed hope that the establishment of friendly relations between Osh and Yozgat cities will strengthen the economic, social and cultural ties between the two brotherly peoples.
