First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Sri Lanka Ambassador discuss current state of relations

Bishkek, October 25 / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova received copies of credentials of Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kyrgyz Republic (with residence in Islamabad) Locke Ketagodazhe Dzhayanat Chandrasiri Perera, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

During the meeting the sides discussed the current state of relations and possible ways of development of cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural, educational and tourism sectors. Particular attention was paid to the development of bilateral cooperation in the textile industry, irrigation and the tea industry.

In conclusion Kemelova wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic mission and expressed hope that during his activity he will contribute to the intensification and deepening of the Kyrgyz-Sri Lankan cooperation.

Thanking for the reception, Ambassador Locke Ketagodazhe Dzhayanat Chandrasiri Perera said that he would make every effort for the further expansion of bilateral ties.
