Beijing hosts the Kyrgyz-Chinese ministerial political consultations

Bishkek, October 18 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz-Chinese ministerial political consultations are held in Beijing, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic has been headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Dinara Kemelova, China - Deputy Foreign Minister Li Hueylay.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations at the bilateral level and in multilateral format. During the conversation, they also stressed the high level of political trust between the two countries, stressed the need for close cooperation in matters of security, revitalization of cultural and humanitarian ties. Also, issues of expansion and strengthening of the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.

During the consultations, special attention was paid to the issues of development of trade-economic cooperation. The sides exchanged views on the construction of the railway "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan", the transfer of production capacity, the development of the street and road network of Bishkek, improvement of irrigation systems of Kyrgyzstan and others.

The Kyrgyz side has also focused attention on addressing the issue of visas to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, including for Kyrgyz students studing in China. The Chinese side assured that the student visa will be issued. As soon as organizational and technical issues will be solved the Chinese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic will resume issuing visas to other citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The consultations were held in a friendly atmosphere in a constructive way. Agreement is reached on the promotion of mutual visits at various levels, as well as holding regular ministerial political consultations in 2017.
