Memorandum on mutual cooperation signed between border regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

Bishkek, October 3 / Kabar /. The visit of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev to Andijan city of Uzbekistan is resulted in signing a memorandum on mutual cooperation between the three regions of the two countries. In particular, the memorandum was signed by head of Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad oblasts of Kyrgyzstan and Andijan, Fergana and Namangan oblasts of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reports.

The sides agreed to hold regular monthly meetings to discuss current, pressing issues of residents of border regions. It is also planned to organize a return visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic for the further development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation.

The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev visited Andijan city of Uzbekistan on October 1, 2016 and took part in the activities on the development of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in the city of at the invitation of the Uzbek side.

The Uzbek side headed by Deputy Prime Minister Adham Ikramov met Kyrgyz delegation at the Dostuk checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

First Deputy Prime Minister Muhammetkaly Abulgazi expressed his condolences on the death of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

During the event, representatives of the Kyrgyz delegation visited the secondary school № 10 in Andijan region, Andijan State University, House of Friendship, the new building of the railway station and the car plant in Asaka city and met with representatives of Kyrgyz diaspora.
