Kyrgyz official told why leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will not attend CIS Summit in Bishkek

 Bishkek, September 14 / Kabar /. Head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz President ‘s Office Sapar Isakov today at a briefing told why leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will not attend the CIS Summit in Bishkek on September 16-17.

"Today we have received a warm letter from Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The decision that Uzbekistan will be presented at the summit by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov associated with the internal affairs of Uzbekistan, preparations for the elections and so on. This does not in any way connected with the bilateral relations between the countries," he said.

Besides, on September 12 at the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a telephone conversation is held with Atambayev.

During the conversation the Turkmen President said that they have important events related to the Constitution, which coincide with the summit, and for this reason, Mr Berdimuhamedov will not be able to participate at this event," he said.

The Kyrgyz official also added that on September 15 President Atambayev will meet with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.
