Patients of mental hospital in Jalal-Abad rioted and took nurses as hostages

Bishkek, February 18 / Kabar /. Patients of Kyzyl-Jar psychiatric hospital in Jalal-Abad rioted and took the medical staff as hostages. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan confirms this information. 

According to data of the Ministry, committable patients, yesterday took nurses as hostages nurses and barricaded themselves in the room. In such a way they tried to prevent the police, who came to conduct a search within the frames of several criminal cases. 

Police officers released hostages by using a weapon. There are injures. Several law enforcement officials received stab and slash wounds. 

Recall that the prosecutor's office initiated criminal cases against officials of the Kyzyl-Jar psychiatric hospital. 

As previously reported, on February 5 escaped patient of the above-mentioned hospital Zaur Magomedov, on February 9, after committing a robbery in Bishkek shot dead traffic police in Boom Gorge of Issyk-Kul.

Another patient who escaped from the hospital committed a holdup in Bishkek. 

According to preliminary data, patients could freely leave the medical facility and back again. The leadership of the hospital has been closing eyes to this.
