UNODC rendered technical aid to the State Service for Drugs Control of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, January 20 / Kabar /. United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) donated today seven cars to the State Service for Drugs Control of Kyrgyzstan.
Besides, office equipment, instruments for laboratory research and expertise, as well as GPS-navigators were handed over.
The aid is rendered within the framework of the project "Strengthening capacity of the State Service of the Kyrgyz Republic on drugs control - Phase 1". The total cost of the aid is 5 million 275 thousand soms. The main donors of the project are the U.S. Government, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The official ceremony of donating was attended by the State Service for Drugs leadership, U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Pamela Spratlen, Russian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Valentin Vlasov, the UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Alexander Avanesov.
