Kyrgyzstan tightens measures to prevent hard treatment and violence against minors

Bishkek, November 23 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On intruding amendments to some legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (the Penal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic)", the press service of the President reports.

The purpose of the law is to strengthen measures to prevent violence against minors, and also to provide comprehensive support to abused children.

The law provides for banning of conditional early discharge of convicted persons who are serving time in prison for crimes against minors and their transfer to penal colony.

The law shall come into force at the expiration of ten days from the date of publication.
