Russia to allocate $6 million to Kyrgyzstan for fighting drug trafficking


Bishkek, March 17 /Kabar/. Russia will allocate $6 million to support the fight against drug trafficking in Kyrgyzstan. Chairman of the State Drugs Control Service Vitaly Orozaliev told today at a press conference in Bishkek.

The Russian side is interested in developing the State Drugs Control Service in Kyrgyzstan. Chairman of the Russian Federal Service for Drug Control of Russia Victor Ivanov had visited Kyrgyzstan on March 16 with this purpose, V. Orozaliev said.

A project was signed during the visit, implementation of which is scheduled for 3 years, in frames of the project the country will get more than $6 million for purchase special equipment and for training of personnel, he added.
