Kyrgyz Prime Minister instructs Interior Minister to look into the incident with robbery of Russian tourists

Bishkek, July 6 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Zheenbekov today, July 6, instructed Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Kashkar Dzhunushaliev to look into the incident that took place with the participation of Russian citizens, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reports.

The incident occurred on July 4, when Russian citizens Irina and Dmitry Rebrovs were going to Issyk-Kul for treatment of their disabled child. On the way to Issyk-Kul, the Russian tourists were stopped by unknown persons, who introduced themselves as police officers. The fraudsters asked the driver-foreigner to sit in their car and tested for alcohol, smoking and drugs. Also, the men checked the driver’s wallet with money and documents. On the way the Russian tourist discovered that a large sum of money is missing in his wallet and addressed the police in the nearest police station in Kemin.

Minister Dzhunushaliev told that the task group is set up to ascertain all the circumstances and the appropriate measures will be taken at the end of the event.

The Prime Minister instructed to continue to promptly respond to such cases, intensify efforts to provide security of citizens and visitors.
