Former Kyrgyz officials who are accused of planning to seize power are taken into custody for two months

Bishkek, May 15 / Kabar /. Leaders of the "Eldik Parliament" (People's Parliament) association, who are accused of planning to seize power, are taken into custody for two months, the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

On 12 May 2016 the State Committee for National Security initiated a criminal case against the leaders of the association "Eldik Parliament" on preparation of the violent seizure power and preparation for the use of violence against government representatives.

The collected materials of pre-investigation prove that members of the above-mentioned association were planning to organize actions aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in the country. They also produced and distributed publications with various articles inciting to inter-ethnic and inter-regional strife.
