Number of smuggling drugs increase in Kyrgyzstan with each year

 Bishkek, February 8 / Kabar /. The number of transported drugs has been increasing in Kyrgyzstan, senior security officer of internal affairs of the Main Directorate for Combating Drug Trafficking Ryspek Umetaliev said today at Kabar Agency.

According to him, the analysis in Afghanistan shows that over the past year opium cultivation has increased by 17%. And accordingly, the number of transported drugs in Kyrgyzstan is increasing every year, they are smuggled on several routes through difficult high-mountain passes of Tajikstan and Kyrgyzstan and border areas of Uzbekistan.

"As part of the international anti-drug cooperation and the creation of reliable mechanisms to combat drug trafficking strong links have been established and developed with the relevant CIS structures, authoritative international organizations, UN agencies and the European Union, SCO, CSTO, as well as donor countries," said Umetaliev.
