Medical facilities of Kyrgyzstan receive medical aid valued at over $ 42,000 USD
Bishkek, May 7 / Kabar /. On May 8, 2013 the U.S. Government, through the American charitable organization “Project HOPE,” will make a donation of medical aid valued at over $ 42,000 USD to medical facilities in Bishkek City, Chuy, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, Naryn, Talas and Issyk-Kul regions.
The humanitarian donation is delivered within the frame of the “Operation Provide Hope” program and contains medical supplies, namely insulin syringes and syringes for childhood vaccines, generously donated by the global medical technology company Becton Dickinson.
Thanks to this humanitarian donation, over 12,000 diabetes mellitus patients will receive high quality insulin syringes. More than 260,000 children will receive vaccinations from sanitary single-use syringes.
This assistance will be delivered according to a distribution plan approved by the Ministry of Health and based upon requests from medical institutions. Project HOPE Humanitarian Aid Program will deliver this assistance to oblast medical institutions.
