 For the first time in Kyrgyzstan woman gave birth to a baby after liver transplantation

Bishkek, August 11 / Kabar /. For the first time in Kyrgyzstan a woman gave birth to a child after liver transplantation, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

According to data of the Ministry, she gave birth on August 3, 2016 after one year of liver transplantation.

"Operative delivery was carried out by cesarian section. The woman gave a birth to a girl, weighing 2 kg 630 grams, height 49 cm, the Health Ministry said.

Doctors said that this is the unique case, as the prenatal care and delivery after liver transplantation surgery is for the first time in Kyrgyzstan. The doctors also said that the health condition of the woman and her baby is satisfactory.

A resident of Issyk-Kul oblast, 30 years old woman was diagnosed with cirrhosis of stage IV in 2011. Because of the deterioration of her health condition her right lobe liver was transplanted in February 2015 in the medical hospital in India. At the end of the same year she became pregnant and gave a birth her daughter.
