E-health project launched in Jayil region, Chui oblast

Bishkek, May 30 / Kabar /. A pilot project on introducing electronic health care services has launched at the hospital in Jaiyl region of Chui oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

E-health, including electronic database of drugs can solve all the urgent problems of the health care system, including unnecessary medical examinations and unreasonable prescriptions of medicines, reduce paperwork and saves valuable time for the patient, says the press service.

The project was launched in the framework of "e-health" and the Concept of creation and implementation of an electronic database of drugs and other medicines.

"The data will include patient’s and doctor’s data, the results of laboratory diagnostic tests, prescribed drugs, the treatment of the patient in the hospital. This whole process is included in the electronic medical records - on-line and is connected to the database of the Social Fund, where it is possible to automatically determine the insurance status. The introduction of the system will provide transparency and efficiency of the work of a hospital, its employees and the health system as a whole. After successful testing of the project in Jayil region, the e-health will be introduced throughout the country, the press service said.
