Kyrgyzstan to develop system of mobile medical care of population

Bishkek, February 2 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan, for the first time, will develop the system of mobile quality medical care of the population, Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Talantbek Batyraliev told during the meeting with project manager of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for mobile health clinics in rural areas Mohamed Suhail.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the meeting minister Batyraliev thanked the IDB for the assistance rendered to the health care system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting it was noted that Kyrgyzstan had been selected to participate in this project because it is a mountainous country, where more than 90% of the territory is mountainous. High altitudes, remoteness and inaccessibility of some rural settlements associated with climate-geographic, relief and other features of the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, are the main obstacles to ensuring the quality and accessibility of medical care to the population of Kyrgyzstan. This problem is exacerbated by a shortage of medical personnel in rural areas, especially doctors.

Also the minister proposed new projects for cooperation: positron emission tomography / computed tomography - PET / CT Scanner; endocrinological center with laboratory; ophthalmology center; Diagnostic Center; the command station with transport for the transportation of personnel.

Mohamed Suhail confirmed the readiness to implement this project. "Kyrgyzstan is the first country, where the system of mobile quality medical care will be developed, and therefore I want to personally inspect the remote regions", he said.
