According to recent studies, the shadow economy of Kyrgyzstan makes 39 %, - Arzybek Kozhoshev

 Bishkek, December 29 / Kabar /. The shadow economy of Kyrgyzstan, according to recent studies, makes 39% of GDP, Economy Minister Arzybek Kozhoshev said today at a press conference in Bishkek.

He said that earlier this figure was 53%, but there is a trend that will be even greater reduction.

"The study was conducted by the World Bank," he said.

Head of the department of tax policy Kubanychbek Ysabekov said that the study was conducted in 2014. "According to unofficial data, the shadow economy in Kyrgyzstan reaches 60% of GDP," he said.

Meanwhile, chairwoman of the Chamber of Tax Consultants Tatyana Kim said that Kyrgyzstan should cancel the system, when foreigners in Kyrgyzstan do not pay VAT.
