Kazakhstan allocates Kyrgyzstan the first tranche in the amount of $ 7.5 mln for integration into the EEU

Bishkek, December 29 / Kabar /. As a result of meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and negotiations between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan in St. Petersburg on December 26 the Agreement is signed between the two governments on the development of economic cooperation under the Eurasian economic integration and the Protocol is signed between the Governments Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the provision of assistance and monitor its use and on the financial and technical assistance, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports.

Agreement and the Protocol provide for technical assistance from Kazakhstan in the amount of $ 100 million to finance the activities of the Roadmap on joining the Kyrgyz Republic to the EEU, which are aimed at improvement and equipping of customs infrastructure and modernization of testing laboratories.

According to the Agreement, the assistance will be provided in stages. In the first phase of the Kyrgyz Republic will receive $ 7.5 million.
