Sooronbay Zheenbekov: "Active position of EEC will help eliminate existing barriers within the Union"

Bishkek, December 15 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Zheenbekov received a member of the Board (Minister) for Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Valery Koreshkov, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to review the work done to improve the veterinary system of the country, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports.

"I am confident that the EEC’s active position will help to eliminate existing barriers within the Union and the creation of new perspectives in the way of free movement of goods, services, capital and labor," the Prime Minister said. At the same time, he noted that the Kyrgyz side is making the maximum effort to fulfill all the commitments.

Valery Koreshkov told about positive dynamics in the process of improving the veterinary system in Kyrgyzstan.

"Visiting the veterinary laboratories in Bishkek and Chui region, I saw modern equipment and I am satisfied with the preliminary results of the modernization of veterinary laboratories," he said.

Zheenbekov noted the importance of the EEC position in considering the abolition of veterinary checks at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border and further sharing and close cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union member-states.
