Keeping savings in gold is becoming popular in Kyrgyzstan, head of the National Bank

Bishkek, November 29 / Kabar /. The popularity of savings in gold is growing in Kyrgyzstan, chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Tolkunbek Abdygulov said.

He said that the National Bank has a project for the sale of bullion bar. The Bank started to sell bullion bar in May of this year. To date, the National Bank sold 122 kg of gold, worth a total of 340 million soms. "This is an indication that the number of people who save gold in bullion bars is increasing in our country. The National Bank pursues ambitious goals in order to every citizen keep savings in gold," Abdygulov said.

Also chairman of the National Bank paid special attention to the fact that the distinguishing feature of this investment is that the National Bank not only sells but also buys its bullion bars back. "The most popular among our population are a hundred gram bars," said the head of the National Bank.
