EEU countries adopt a draft Customs Code

Bishkek, November 16 / Kabar /. The prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member-state approved the draft Customs Code of the EEU at today’s meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Moscow, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reports.

During the discussion, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev emphasized that the project of the Customs Code creates the prerequisites for the transition to a single customs regulation, which should allow a transparent and more efficient work in the Union.

The document is adopted taking into account the best international practices and business interests.

After a detailed discussion Heads of Government of the EEU participating countries approved the draft of the Customs Code, then the document will be finalized taking into account comments and submitted for consideration of the Council of Heads of EEU member states for signature.

The participants of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council also signed the document in the field of medicines. This document is designed to ensure the general functioning of the market of medicinal products within the EEU.

The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Bishkek under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
