China’s BUCG invests more than $ 1 bln in modernization of Manas, Batken and Issyk-Kul airports

Bishkek, July 4 / Kabar /. Chinese state-run corporation «Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd» will invest more than $ 1 billion in modernization of Manas, Batken and Issyk-Kul airports. The press service of Manas international airport reports.

On July 1, 2014 as part of the National Sustainable Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic during the negotiations Manas International airport and Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd (BUCG) signed protocol and reached an agreement on construction of the international trading terminal of wholesale and retail sales at the Manas international airport, as well as reconstruction of Batken international airport and Issyk-Kul airport in the village of Tamchi. 

At the Batken international airport it is planned to build a major transit terminal and tourist class terminal building for development of tourism industry of Issyk-Kul oblast at the Tamchi airport.

The total cost of all projects is $ 1 billion. 

Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd is the largest construction corporation with a turnover of $ 8.65 billion, with 26 thousand employees and 120 subsidiaries worldwide. The state corporation has implemented more than 240 major projects in China and around the world, all the Olympic facilities built in China (Olympics "Beijing 2008"), including the stadium "Bird's Nest", and the third terminal of the airport in Beijing and won the tender for construction of new airport in the south of China worth U.S. $ 5 billion.
